About
Learn about me, why I love what I do, and who I’ve had had pleasure of calling my clients.
Hey! For those that don’t know me, my name is Justin Rearden and I’m a Nashville based commercial, hospitality and architecture photographer. My main focus is to bring clients stories to life through the images I capture.
As with most stories of creative entrepreneurs, I didn’t follow a linear path to get here. Growing up I was a very creative kid, but was encouraged to follow a more traditional and stable career, whatever that meant. I’ve always grappled with the balance of stability and spontaneity, creativity and precision. And in 2009, with a degree in Finance & Accounting still in fresh ink, I took a trip to Thailand with a new camera and no return ticket. Twelve weeks later, I came back to the reality check of needing a job. After a decade of operations experience, intense years of working non-stop and answering calls at 3am, I found myself back to the drawing board with my career path. After the birth of my daughter just a few months later, it felt like everything changed. I suddenly found myself longing for a different lifestyle, one where my family can be the center of my decision-making. In addition to running my photography business, my wife and I founded The Reardenstein Collective, where we manage my brand, my wife’s brand (I’m head taste tester), Littlest Love, and support several other concepts. When I’m not shooting, I’m raising a tiny human, working on my fitness (who caught that Lizzo reference?) , and traveling to new and familiar destinations with my family.
